A Group Discussion was held as an activity for all students of the association on July 29, 2015. All the students were divided into a group of 8. The final year student members were the co-ordinators of these groups. Various topics were given such as ‘Cell-Phones must be banned or not’, ‘Age of marriage’, Advantage & disadvantage of Social Networking’, ‘Teen Drinking’, ‘ Age bar for driving license’ etc. Students exchanged their ideas, thoughts and feelings in a systematic way on the given issue. All students participated enthusiastically. The feedbacks from the participants were good. 82 students participated in the programme.Faculty conveners of Association Mrs Lavina Norohna and Ms Dhanya Shet coordinated the session.
By adopting this activity, students learnt group discussion skills such as Communication Skills, Listening Skills, and Leadership Skills which are essential for academic success as well as for facing real life challenges.
