Educational Tour to Madikeri and Kaveri Nisargadhama

Three days Educational Tour to Madikeri and Kaveri Nisargadhama from September 12 to 14, 2016 was organised by Department of Botany. Total 18 III BZC Students & 3 Faculty members were visited different botanically important places of Madikeri and Kaveri Nisargadhama. Students studied local plants with their natural habitat along with field explanation. The places visited here are as follows: 1. Rajas Seat 2.Kaveri Nisarga Dhama 3. Golden Temple 4. Mallali Falls 5. Shree Honnammana Kere 6. Abbi Kolli Falls and7. Madal Patti Hill Resort.In the garden of   Golden Temple, Professor & Head of the Department, Dr. Joishi explained the characters of many flowering plants and morphological features of different groups of plants such as Pteridophytes, Gymnosperms and higher Angiospermic plants. This was very informative and useful to students as many things are there in their syllabus.
