Kannada Department and Kannada sangha in association with Karavali Lekhakiyara mattu Vachakiyara Sangha organized an endowment programme on 11/02/2016 at College Seminar Hall. Dr. Sulatha Vidyadhar ,Lecturer in Kannada ,Alva’s College Moodabidri was the resource person. In her speech she stressed on how the social media like Facebook ,WhatsApp are only help in gaining friends but make us to disconnect ourselves from the immediate surroundings. The Principal Dr. K. V. Malini gave her presidential remarks and highlighted the need for the social media of creating awareness among the youth pertaining to critical issues.
A.P. Malathi, Member of Karavali Lekhakiyara Mattu Vachakiyara Sangha provided insights into the history of Endowment Fund .The elocution prize winners were awarded cash prizes .The president of Karavali Lekhakiyara Mattu vachakiyara Sngha Dr. Shaila U, vice president Mrs. Padma Shenoy, Founder President Aroor Lakshmi Rao, HOD of Kannada Mrs. Vani U. S and Student representatives of Kannada Sangha were present on this occasion.
Mrs. Thara Kumari, convenor of Kannada Sangha welcomed the gathering. Supriya compered the programme. Shruthi proposed the vote of thanks. 70 students and 20 members of Karavali Lekhakiyara Sangha were took part in this programme.Students got inspirations to participate in various Literary competitions.
