Dr.S R Ranganathan’s Day was celebrated on August 12, 2017 at College Reading Room. Dr. K. V. Malini was the guest of the day, she inaugurated the programme and said about Library Network, Challenges for library and Librarianship, the problems faced by librarians in new digital era, resource sharing etc. 75 students were present in the celebration.
A discussion session was held between students and faculty on following points like: Dr. Ranganathan’s academic background, his contribution in the field of Library and Information Science in India, his early career as Mathematician etc. The students were motivated by this celebration.
