Goods & Services Tax (GST), a game changing reform for the Indian economy by creating the Indian economy as one Nation, one Tax and one Market. With a view to helping the students get in stride with the new tax structure, Department of Commerce has conducted an awareness programme on GST on August 4, 2017 for the final year B. Com students. A total of 140 participants were trained during the workshop. This workshop mainly focused on creating awareness about GST tax law, transition provisions, supply, registration mechanism and precautions to be taken while filing the returns. The resource person of the workshop was Mr. Anvesh. The workshop enlightened the students about the rules, regulations and amendments of GST and the procedure of return filing.140 students actively participated in this workshop.
