The Fine Arts Association of Canara College, Mangaluru organized “ABHIVYAKTHA 2K17” – exhibition of talent, on August 19, 2017at T.V Raman Pai convention hall.The popular Actor of the film ‘Ondu Motteya kathe’ Sri Raj B. Shetty was the chief guest for this function. In his address to the students he said “We are the sculptors of our own lives. When we accept the realities of life, it is possible to lead the peaceful life. Whatever may be the purpose of life, every moment should be experienced with love, unlimited enthusiasm should be inculcated, only then it is possible to lead a meaningful life. The interest in art should be adopted in the student life which will in turn develop the confidence level”. The Principal of the college Dr. K.V Malini presided over the function and in her presidential remarks she said fine Arts plays an important role in adopting good values and inner conscience among the students.
The Convener of Fine arts Association, Prof. Sushma R. Shetty welcomed the gathering. Miss Kavya compered the programme, Miss Isiri P.K rendered the vote of thanks. The other members of fine art association Prof. Ashalatha, Prof. Babitha, Smt. Rekhadevi, Prof. Dhanyashree and Sri Avinash were also present. The formal function was followed by cultural programs. Students from all the streams exhibited their talents in singing and dance.
