Two days Educational Tour to Waynad, Kerala from August 19 and 20, 2017 was organised by Department of Botany. Total 27students of IIBZC& 3 Faculty members were visited different botanically important places of wayanad. Students studied local plants with their natural habitat along with field explanation. The places visited here are as follows: Banasurasagar dam, edakkal caves, suchipara water falls. In the garden of suchipara water falls, Professor & Head of the Department, Dr. Joishi explained the characters of many flowering plants and morphological features of different groups of plants such as Pteridophytes, Gymnosperms and higher Angiospermic plants. This was very informative and useful to students as many things are there in their syllabus.
