December 24th is celebrated as National Consumer Day after CPA 1986 received the assent of the President of India on December 24th 1986.The act is considered to be a historic milestone in the consumer movement in the country. This year the celebration was held at Dhavala College, Moodabidri on December 26, 2017. All the 23 students from the association attended this program. Our students also participated in the essay competition on the topic “Consumer Protection in Digital Era” held on the eve of this day.
It enriched the knowledge of students about the various effective measures under Consumer Protection Act that aims to provide effective safeguards to consumers against various forms of exploitation, such as bad goods or bad services and unfair trade practices.
