Educational field visit to Sita Falls Karkala was organised by Department of Botany on March 16, 2018. Total 27 students of II BZC& 3 Faculty members were visited different. Students studied local plants with their natural habitat along with field explanation. The places visited here are sitawaterfalls and nearby forest area. Students collected plant samples and studiedmorphological features of different groups of plants such as Pteridophytes, and higher Angiospermic plants. Near sita waterfalls students collected some of the bryophyte specimens and algal samples. This collected samples and specimens were brought to lab and mounted and identified. Students prepared a brief report and submitted during university practical examination. This was very informative and useful to students as many things are there in their syllabus.
