Public health is the science of protecting and improving the health of people and their communities. This is achieved by Promoting Healthy life styles, researching disease and injury prevention, detecting, responding to communicable and non communicable diseases. Master of Public Health programme enables students for a dynamic and challenging career opportunities in Health and development sectors as public health consultants, epidemiologists, research officers ,analysts ect. To guide the students about the career opportunities available in Public health science Department of Chemistry organized The Master of Public Health programmeon March 23, 2018 in Canara College Seminar hall for all final year BSc students.
The resource person was Dr. Jagannath from K S HegdeMedica Academy, who delivered the message with simple and communicative way. The motto of the programme was to improve the health conditions of the community. He also briefed about the courses available for the same at KSHEMA. This is a recently started course which is increasing its fame around students rapidly.The session was interactive. Many students shared their views and asked questions about the session. 80 final Bsc students were attended the program.
