Dr. S.R. Ranganathan’s Day was inaugurated by Dr. Premalatha, Head, Department of Mathematics, on August 12, 2018, in the Library Hall. She mentioned Dr. Ranganathan’s most notable contribution of the five laws of library science and the development of the classification system, the importance of reading habits, etc. The programme commenced with welcoming the gathering and Pramod Kumar P.S., Assistant Prof. of English, spoke about the importance of using library books and how reading depends on the individual’s capacity to interpret printed or electronic pages accurately. 50 students were present for the celebration.
