The Consumer Forum conducted an Expert Lecture on Corruption Act and Control for the members of the association on October 12, 2018. Mr. Vijay Prasad, Police Inspector, Lokayukta Mangaluru, was the resource person who explained the work of Lokayukta and the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) and shared his experience working as a Police Inspector in Lokayukta. Dr. K V Malini presided over the function and, in her presidential address, highlighted the role of students
in preventing corruption. Mr. Jaya Prakash, the Treasurer, Consumer Federation, D K District, was present on this
occasion. Mrs Swathi Nayak, the co-convenor of the association, welcomed the gathering and Mrs Jayashree Shetty, co-convenor, proposed the vote of thanks. 120 members of the consumer forum association from Canara College, Mangaluru, Besant Women’s College and SDM College Mangaluru participated in this session.
