A guest lecture was organised by Department of Commerce for the students of final year B. Com on the topic by Prof. Roshni Yeshwanth, Assistant Professor, Govt. First Grade College, Haleyangadi on March 21, 2019. She addressed the students regarding the functioning of the stock market and the derivatives in stock market. She also explained the meaning of Options and Futures and Speculators in the Stock Exchange. Since this topic is in the curriculum of Financial Management of final B.Com, it was a very informative session to the students.
She gave explanation about some of the terms with regard to stock market and encouraged the student to start making small investments in stock market. Student’s queries were answered by her. Around 50 students were present for the lecture.
