The orientation programme for the fresh NSS volunteers was organised on July 10, 2019. Prof. I N. Noronha, former H.O.D of Commerce and NSS officer of Canara College was the resource person.
The main objective of the programme is to orient New NSS volunteers about the scope and purpose of the National Service Scheme. He congratulated the volunteers for choosing NSS as their extra-curricular activities. He also highlighted that NSS is a good platform to develop ones personality and explore the hidden talents in them. He said the essence of satisfaction lies in serving others and ones you choose to become a volunteer you will be a volunteer for life.
The chief guest of the programme Mrs. Dejamma A., Dean of Commerce department shared her experience as NSS Officer for the past four years and advised the students to grab the opportunities available in NSS whole heartedly.
The NSS Officer Mrs. Seema Prabhu S. administered the oath to the Volunteers. Ms. Vindya B.B., NSS Officer present over the function. Senior students shared their experience as NSS volunteers. A total of 120 students were oriented in this programme.
