The Student Welfare Council Inauguration was held on July 12, 2019 in Smt. Ratna Bai Memorial Seminar Hall.
“Leadership is not at all a challenge but a theory itself when the confluence of the light and love occur. That’s the basic tenet” said Prof. Vadiraja Kalluraya, Lecturer in Kannada, Sahara Educational Institutions, Polali while inaugurating the Student Welfare Council of Canara College, Mangalore.
He also said “Humbleness, politeness, discipline, friendly attitude, decision making, flexibility are the qualities of an able leader. Nothing is impossible when the leader is able to combine the principles of Light of Knowledge with Love.”
Dr. Malini K V, Principal, delivered the introductory speech.
Mr. Ranganath Bhat, Hon. Secretary, CHS Association, in his presidential address advised students to make full use of the facilities available in the college and to mould their future with positive attitude towards life.
Student Welfare Mentor Mrs. Prathima V Baliga administered the oath to the office bearers of student welfare council. Dr. Prashanth and Mrs. Vani U. S. Student Welfare Mentors were present.
Ms. Bindiya S. Shet, President, Student welfare council welcomed the guest and the gathering. Ms. Pooja Bhaktha, Vice President, proposed the vote of thanks. Ms. Krithika, III B.Com compered the programme.
Altogether 120 students and 50 staff members took part in this programme.
