The Department of Commerce organized a guest lecture on “Need For Insurance’’ for the students of Final B.Com ‘C’ on July 23, 2019. Sri B. Balachandra B, Manager, Direct Marketing, LIC of India, Mangaluru was the resource person. Mrs. Usha Nayak, Academic mentor, III B.Com ‘C’ introduced the guest to the gathering.
The resource person spoke about the need for insurance in the present day and said insurance provide financial support and reduce uncertainties in business and human life. He also
highlighted the different types of insurances and the procedures to claim the same. He said that insurance enables to mitigate loss, financial stability and promote trade and commerce activities which result into economic growth and development.
