Student welfare council, in association with Vijayavani leading Kannada daily of Karnataka, Digvijaya News and Zilla Panchayath Mangalore, jointly organized an awareness program on water harvesting on July 23, 2019, Tuesday at Seminar Hall.
The resource person of the program was Sri.Sudhakar M, Convener for water Harvesting, Zilla Panchayath, Mangalore. In his presentation, he said Rain water harvesting is a sustainable process that helps in preserving rain water for different purposes and for the future needs as well. He urged the students, to come out with various plans to create awareness about water harvesting in the city to make sure that every drop of rain water can be saved for the right purpose.
The programme was presided over by in charge Principal, Dr.Premlatha.V. He urged the students its time to go for Water revolution, as the city is facing shortage of water during the summer season.
The Chief Editor of Vijayvani Mangalore, Surendra Waghle was present in the programme. Dr. Prashanth, Student welfare Mentor welcomed the gathering and proposed vote of Thanks.
Altogether 52 students and 10 staff members attended the program.
