An Expert Lecture on “Consumer Rights and Protection” was organized on July 24, 2019.The resource person Sri. Guru Prasad Shetty briefed the students about Consumer Protection Act and various consumer rights. He added that consumer should be aware of their rights under Consumer Protection Act. He suggested the students regarding what a consumer should do if the goods provided by the seller are not up to the standards. He educated the students about the safety, information and redressal options available to them with the real life examples. He also stressed upon unfair trade practices followed by the business concerns to promote sales. 36 students of the college witnessed this programme.
