In order to develop management skills, to get easy access to a large network of business and to motivate students to become a successful future managers and leaders,a motivational talk on“Career Guidance and Future Educational Opportunities in the field of MBA and competitive Exams” was organised for First, Second and Final year BBA students by Mr.Gerard D’Souza, Retd.Professor, MITE, Moodabidri and Soft skill expert on July 24,2019.The talk began with an introduction of the resource person by Mr. Hardik Chauhan, Faculty Dept. of BBA. As soon as the session is handed over to Prof. Gerald, he initiated with enlightening the students about the salary packages offered by the current market to under graduates and graduates. He used various analogies to compare the salary packages offered by the companies. He also emphasized to do the course of Masters in Business Administration from an eminent institution, its benefits and salary packages offered by companies .With Entrance exams being the next topic, he highlighted the possible ways to crack competitive exams like CAT, MAT, XAT etc.He also spoke about utilization of time to improve aptitude skills. His words were “Destiny is determined on the basis of hardwork”. He also shared success stories of entrepreneurs like Steve Jobs, Bill Gates etc.Session concluded by answering questions and queries posed by the students. 100 students participated in this session.
