Student welfare council organized Kargil Vijay Diwas on July 26, 2019 at Seminar Hall, to celebrate 20th year of Kargil war. The chief guest of the program was Mr. Praveen Shetty Kumpala, who is Kargil Hero by himself who bravely fought in the war field for more than two months as a sharp shooter, and played a vital role to occupy Kargil Hill being the youngest soldier.
In his speech, he mentioned about mission and difficulty as the Indian soldiers has to climb the peak with the enemy perched at the top. Despite the risk involved, Indian army was able to conquer the Tiger Hill.
The program was presided over by In charge Principal, Dr. Premlatha V. In her Presidential address, she said we should always be always be grateful to soldiers for the relentless service which they are doing for the country. Dr. Prashanth Student welfare Mentor welcomed the gathering. Smt.Vani U S, proposed vote of Thanks. Altogether 52 students and 30 staff members participated in this programme.
