IT Association conducted a guest lecture Industry 4.0-oppurtunities and challenges on July 31, 2019The program was started with Guest Introduction and welcoming the guest Prof. Santhosh Rebello, Dean of St. Aloysius Institute of Management and Technology, Beeri, Mangalore.
The business Industry is undergoing transformation and evolution towards complete digitization and the Intelligence of production process to ensure high efficiency. To achieve these goals it is necessary to implement new technology for the automation of Industrial processes. These concepts are the pillars of the fourth industrial revolution called industry 4.0.
Resource person has stressed on Digitalization as one of the important element in Industry 4.0. He also covered three main fundamental aspects of Industry 4.0 which includes Digitization and Increased integration of vertical and horizontal value chains, Digitization of products and service offerings and Introduction of Innovative digital business models. 39 students benefitted from this guest lecture.
