Canara College, Mangaluru signed an MoU with Chetana Child Development Centre (CCDC), Managaluru is a non-governmental organization and a unit of Seva Bharathi® The signing ceremony began with address by the IQAC Coordinator Mr. Hardik P Chauhan explaining the background of the two institutions and the purpose of signing the Memorandum. Dr. K. V Malini Principal, Canara College and Mrs. Supreetha, Principal, CCDC signed the memorandum and the MoU was exchanged between both the parties. The agreement highlights the ways, in which the college through its students and staff would be promoting a barrier free environment to promote the interest of the inmates, develop a strong sense of social welfare and concern towards specially abled divyang children.
Dr. K.V Malini, Principal in her presidential address said “College will strive to provide supportive and voluntary services that aim to benefit the inmates & the centre and to have a long term co-operative relationship and collaboration between both bodies to foster closer ties thereby contributing in enriched social life of specially abled children.”
Chief Guest Mrs. Supreetha, Principal, CCDC appreciated the college’s initiative in promoting social concern towards specially abled and developing a sense of rendering social service benefitting the centre.
Prathima V Baliga, SWM welcomed the gathering, Mrs. Vani U S, SWM, proposed the Vote of Thanks and Dr. Prashanth compeered the programme. Mrs. Sumathi Shenoy, President, Seva Bharathi, Mangaluru, staff and students of Canara College were present.
Altogether 41 students and 8 staff members participated in the programme.
