73rd Independence Day was celebrated in our college on August 15, 2019 at 9:00 AM in the college quadrangle & Smt. Ratna Bai Menorial Seminar Hall.
The chief guest, Mrs. Priya Harish Shetty, News Reader, Namma Kudla Channel, Mangalore and an alumnus of our college hoisted the National Flag. She laid stress on the role played by the soldiers of our country and paid tribute to them. She also gave a brief description of Mangaloreians role during the fight for freedom. The Principal, Dr. K. V. Malini advised students on how they can volunteer to work effectively and efficiently for the country. Student Welfare Mentors, Mrs. Vani U S, Mrs. Prathima V Baliga, Dr. Prashanth Bhat and IQAC Coordinator, Dr. Premalatha V were present. Ms. Bindiya Shet, President, Student Welfare Council welcomed the guest and the gathering. Ms. Madhumitha, Joint Secretary, Student Welfare Council proposed the vote of thanks. Ms. Priyanka Shenoy, compeered the programme.
Altogether 90 students and 70 staff members were present.
