A session on Basics of Scouting and Guiding was organised on August 21, 2019 for members of Rangers and Rovers.The students of Rangers and Rovers were present for the session. Altogether six students participated.
Mr. Ashwil Karkera, Rover Scout Leader acquainted the students with the objectives and goals of the seminar. The resource person Sri.M.G.Kaje, District Secretary, Scouts and Guides Bhavan, Dakshina Kannada reflected his profound knowledge on the topic and highlighted how the Rangers and Rovers are helpful to the society. Sri.M.G.Kaje in his address shared his scout’s experience with the students. He explained the principles, objectives, advantages, motto and the law of the scout and guide. The origin of the salute and left hand shake was made known to the students.
An interactive concourse ignited the inquisitiveness of students. The students have committed themselves completely to be the part of Rover and Ranger association. The informative Session culminated with a vote of thanks by Ranger Leader Mrs. Dhanyashree.
