Konkani Bhasha Vidyarthi Mandal celebrated Konkani Manyata Divas-2019 on Tuesday, August 22, 2019 at college seminar Hall. Mr. Venkatesh Baliga, Editor, Kodial Khaber, Konkani Fortnightly Newspaper was the chief guest.
In his inaugural address, Mr.Baliga stressed on the learning of Konkani Language at College level. He said “Konkani is one of the 22 scheduled languages, mentioned in the 8th schedule of the Indian Constitution and we need to be proud of it.”
Konkani Bhasha Vidyarthi Mandal conducted many competitions to the members of the association and the winners of the competition were honoured at this occasion. The Chief Guest honoured the students who won Intra-Collegiate Konkani quiz and singing competition. 40 students participated in the programme.
Mr. Narasimha Prabhu (II B. Com. B) welcomed the gathering, Ms. Keerthi Vedavyas Bhat (II B.Com. B) Proposed the vote of thanks and Mr.Prashanth Baliga (II B.Com. B) Compered the programme.
Mrs. Swathi Nayak, the convenor of Konkani Bhasha Vidyarthi Mandal coordinated the programme.
