The students of II M Com of Canara College conducted an awareness programme on “Women Harassment” for the students of Government Pre University women’s College at their college auditorium. It was conducted on August 27, 2019.
The programme was organised as a part of the Extension Activities by the Centre for PG Studies in Commerce with an objective of creating awareness on the issue of Women’s Harassment and women empowerment through awareness and self defence among the students.
The students explained the legal provisions in cases Women’s Harassment and also presented a mime show on the issue. They impressed upon the audience the fact that every girl can protect herself by being aware and alert about her surroundings.
