Public speaking and good communication skills are a part of Personality Development. Recognizing this need for students, the activity Pick, act and speak was organized by the Programme officers Mrs. Smitha M & Mrs. Roopashree K.P. for the members of Youth Red Cross on August 28, 2019. The topics were related to Indian Red Cross Society. It was indeed a great joy to see students speak on these topics. Students were divided into four groups, two students from each team came forward at a time, one had to pick the topic and act, the other had to identify the act and speak on the topic for 2 minutes. Each one wanted to exhibit their best eloquence, hence the activity was conducted in 4 rounds. The activity brought out skills including quick thinking and oratory. Over all it was an enjoyable and a learning experience for the students as they could keep abreast with the happenings in the wider world around them. 43 volunteers of the association actively participated in this activity.
