“Traditional Medicine is the oldest form of health care in the world and is used in the prevention and treatment of physical and mental illnesses”. An interactive session on “Indian Traditional Medicinal System” was organized by Botany Department on August 31, 2019 for I and III BZC students, where the resource person Dr. Jayakara Bhandary, Associate Professor and Head, Department of Botany, Government First Grade College, Carstreet, Mangalore discussed the importance of medicinal plants, traditional medicinal system and herbs. He also emphasized on origin of folk medicine and use of plants totreat disease and to enhance general health and wellbeing. 43 students benefited from the activity.
