The Centre for Advanced Studies in Commerce and Management had organized guest lecture on “Interview skill development “by Mrs. Deeksha Sanjay Shetty, research scholar, NITK Surathkal on September 4, 2019. The session started by asking students their idea about interviews. after which the resource person explained about the stages of interview such as screening, HR Round, group discussions, panel interviews etc. She gave insights about how to prepare oneself for an interview. She gave checklist of Do’s and Don’ts of answers of various questions asked during a personal interview. She emphasized the fact that discussing about salary should be avoided as it creates bad impression on the interviewer. She also highlighted on the importance of dress code as per the requirements of the company. The programme was attended by 20 students.
