A special program on Anti drugs awareness, Cyber Crime was organized in Canara college on September 24, 2019, in association with District Press club Mangalore and Department of Police Dakshina Kannada.
Sri. Kadloor Satyanarayanacharya, District Session Judge Mangalore, inaugurated the Program and he highlighted the role of media and the teaching community to show the right direction to the students.
Police Commissioner Dr. Harsha launched a Poster related to anti drug awareness campaign, speaking on the occasion, he said student should develop different hobbies so that their minds will not be diverted into bad habits. He also told advantages and disadvantages of social networks and how students will be held responsible for doing cyber crimes.
Mangalore Press Club President Srinivas Nayak Indaje, Honorary secretary of Canara High School association Sri.M.Ranganath Bhat, Principal Dr. K. V. Malini, Student welfare Officer Mrs Vani U S, Dr. Prashanth were present on the occasion.
Altogether 105 students and 4 staff members took part in this programme.
