‘Chutuku’, a set of four lines written by Late Dinakara Desai were more impressive than the long poems. When others wrote pages against the exploits of society, Desai conveyed his messages in his four lines called a ‘Chutuku’. His subjects include environment, backward class, corruption, politics etc. Substance in poetry can be a materialistic thing. But through persistent literary reading experience, creative sonnet writing is possible. Though it is small in size it gives a rich meaning.
