Rashtriya Ekta Diwas – National Unity Day 2019 was celebrated by the College on Thursday, October 31, 2019 at 12:15 PM, at the College Seminar Hall.
Dr. Prabha Kamath H., Principal, Canara Pre-University College, Mangaluru., was the Chief Guest. In her address, emphasizing on the legendary contributions made by Shri Sardar Vallabhai Patel, she said “A grateful nation salutes Shri Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the pioneer of National Unity.” Therefore, this day of his birth rightly exemplifies and honors his enormous efforts and significant contributionsto Mother India.
Mrs. Dejamma A., Head, Dept. of Commerce and Principal (I/c) administered the Pledge for Unity and presided over the programme. In her presidential address she remarked that as the fellow citizens of the nation, we need to stand tall and united, as the foundation of true freedom lies in remaining united. Thus, maintain high internal strength of the nation.
Mrs. Prathima V. Baliga, Faculty, Dept. of Computer Science and Applications welcomed the guest and gathering. Mr. Hardik P. Chauhan, Faculty, Dept. of Business Administration and IQAC Coordinator, gave more insights on the significance of the day. Dr. Prashanth, Head, Dept. of Economics and Student Welfare Mentor proposed the vote of thanks. Mrs. Vani U. S., Head, Dept. of Kannada and Student Welfare Mentor too was present on the occasion. Ms. Megha Kamat, Faculty, Dept. of PG Commerce and Student Welfare Mentor compered the programme. The occasion concluded with the National Anthem.
