An Outreach programme for high school students
To create curiosity in science and To inculcate scientific temper among school children, the Department of Chemistry organized “Catch them young”, an outreach program, from November 11, 2019 to December 03, 2019.
In this activity 10 groups of final year PCM and BZC students visited Bhagavathi English Medium High School, Someshwara, Uchila, Government High School, Porkodi, NITK Kannada Medium High School,Surathkal , Anandahrama High School, Someshwara, Kotekar, Government High School,Chithrapura, Kulai, Government High School, Gandhinagar, Capitanio Composite English Medium High School, Kanakanady, St. Joseph’s High School, Bajal, D. K. ZillaPanchayath High School Mullakad, Capitanio Composite Kannada Medium High School, Kanakanady and paved the foundation for Higher education and Research in Science.
The activity not only enriched students’ knowledge but also encouraged them to develop interest in basic science studies. Our college Students demonstrated 12 interesting and colorful experiments and schools applauded students for their dedication and determination.
