D.K. District Federation of Consumer Organisations and District Consumer Information Centre, Mangaluru organised a week long programme in different schools and colleges in connection with National Consumer Day. The inauguration of the same was held at D.K. District Consumer Information Centre Anegundi Road Bejai, Mangaluru on December 24, 2019 at 10.30 AM. Five members of the Consumer Forum Association along with the staff co-ordinator Mrs. Ashalatha attended this programme. The programme was inaugurated by Dr. B. T Manjunath, Joint Dicrector, Food Supply and Consumer Department, Mangalore, DK. Sri. M. J Salian delivered the Presidential address.
The valedictory ceremony of a week long programme was held at Besant Women’s College, Mangaluru on January 2, 2020. Dr. Selva Mani R. CEO, Dakshina Kannada Zilla Panchayat, Mangaluru, Mrs. Roopa M.J. Additional Commissioner Dakshina Kannada and President, Correspondent and Principal of Besant Women’s College were present. Students from different colleges were asked to share their experiences about the Certificate Course on Consumer Education. 17 students of Consumer Forum Association attended this programme.
