Department of Mathematics in association with NSS organized an extension activity for the students of Kodman School on December 26, 2019 at Kodman Govt. School. Ms. Keerthi Alva, Assistant Professor, Department of Mathematics gave a talk on “Easy ways to learn mathematics”.
In her insightful session she introduced the Simple techniques to solve Multiplication, Addition, Fraction, subtraction of large numbers and Easy way to learn big number tables. The main objective of the programme was to introduce mathematics in a creative and innovative way, and create an easy-to-learn concept, to help students facing difficulties with mathematics as a subject. She also conducted Mathematics related games and puzzles for the students.
The session helped students to become more mathematically aware, capable and confident. Students participated with enthusiasm and enjoyed the session. Around 50 students were benefitted of the program.
