The Youth Red Cross in association with Rovers and Rangers organized an awareness programme on “Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) ’’ to provide detailed information about this act and to burst some of the false myths around this. Sri Ravishankar Mijar, District Vice President, The Bharatiya Janata Party, was the resource person.
He stressed the necessity of public awareness programme on the issue of Citizenship Amendment Act, 2019. He explained the meaning of Citizenship Amendment Act, the reasons behind the implementation of the act. He urged students not to get misled by anti- social elements and outfits who have been misleading the general public about the act.
After the session, Sri RavishankarMijar answered the students’ queries. Youth Red Cross volunteers, representatives of Rovers and Rangers and other interested students including students from Canara Evening College actively participated in this awareness programme. Almost 48 students have taken benefit of this programme.
