Ocean trash is a serious pollution problem that affects the health of people, wildlife, and local economies. A problem as big as plastic in the ocean requires a big response! The NSS units of the college organised a beach cleaning drive under the leadership of the NSS Programme officers Mrs. Seema Prabhu S. and Ms. Kavyashree on February 21, 2020. 56 NSS volunteers collected garbage of all kind, i.e. plastic tins, polythene bags, bottles, thermocol paper, tetrapacks diapers glass etc. in bags and disposed off. The NSS officers and volunteers expressed their satisfaction at this endeavour and pledged to maintain cleanliness by adopting healthy and environmental friendly practices. They also created awareness to the visitors to use dust bin, not to litter etc to reduce the waste.
