Virtual Departmental Orientation to First year BBA students 2020-21

The Department of Business Administration warmly welcomed first year students through a virtual Departmental Orientation that was organized through Google meet platform on Wednesday, September 02, 2020 at 10:30 A.M.

The Academic Class Mentor Mr. Hardik P. Chauhan gave an overview of BBA programme, details about course pattern, elective courses, etc. He acquainted the students about the teaching-learning pedagogies involved to deliver the curriculum, educational goals of the programme, expected learning outcomes and graduating attributes that every student must aspire to attain by the end of the programme of study. He also emphasized on the role of mentoring and student support that is intended to facilitate the learners to have a smooth transition in all their upcoming academic endeavors in the institution.

Faculty of the Department Ms. Dhanyashree acquainted the students about the examination and evaluation process, basis for Continuous Internal Evaluation (CIE) and classification of successful candidates. 

Ms.  Laxmi Hegde, Faculty of the Department and Convener of Management Association educated on the significance of Co-curricular and Extra-curricular activities in transforming and developing students holistically. She gave insights on the wide range of skill development programmes undertaken and Add-on Courses offered by the Associaton with a view to make them industry-ready.

This was then followed by a brief address by a final year student Manvi Mrinal who shared her two years of campus and learning experience at the college and how this BBA programme with the motivating and supporting mentors has contributed in transforming them. She called upon the freshers to make the best possible use of the opportunities available and strive to excel.

Head of the Department Ms.  Pushpalatha presided over the programme. A video clipping highlighting the glimpse of activities of the Department and Association was played. Faculty of the Department Ms. Priyanka welcomed and proposed the vote of thanks. A total of 42 student participants attended the programme.
