Online Webinar on “Cloud Computing”

Cloud computing is the on-demand availability of computer system resources, especially data storage and computing power, without direct active management by the user. The term is generally used to describe data centers available to many users over the Internet. 

The Session started at 12:00 PM with a welcome speech by Mrs. Laxmi Hegde, Lecturer, Department of Business Administration.The Speaker of the session was Mr. VinayakLokare, Deputy General Manager, Reliance Jio Platforms Ltd, Mumbai. He discussed the basic concepts of Cloud Computing initially. He then deliberated on the topics- “Before Cloud Computing”, “Why Cloud Computing?”, “Data Storage on Cloud Computing”, “On premise v/s Cloud Computing”. He quoted some real life examples which were very useful for students. He also demonstrated how cloud computing works in IT industries. Total of 53 students attended the session.

The students found the talk very interesting and informative. This program was arranged to gain knowledge and practical experience of Cloud Computing from the Innovative, Knowledgeable and Professional Resource Person. The program was beneficial for the students and it served to achieve the core values of fostering global competency and eliciting quest for excellence amongst the students.
