International Yoga Day Celebration

June 21, 2021

International Yoga Day is observed every year on June 21 to raise awareness about this ancient practice and to celebrate the physical and spiritual prowess that yoga has brought to the world. Yoga is a physical, mental and spiritual practice. It plays an important role in relaxing the mind and body and boosting people’s immune system. Regular practice of yoga will surely help to achieve a better life, physically, mentally and spiritually as well. During the COVID-19 pandemic, when working remotely has become the new normal, yoga encourages people to remain active and have a balanced state of mind.

The NSS Units of our college celebrated the International Yoga Day with great enthusiasm. All the 230 volunteers practiced the warm up exercises and yoga and posted the pictures in social media platform to create the awareness about this ancient practice. This activity was coordinated by Mrs. Seema Prabhu S. and Mrs. Kavyashree K., the NSS Programme Officers of the College.
