In view of Covid-19 pandemic the National Service Scheme, Red Ribbon Club, Youth Red Cross and Rovers and Rangers Units of the College had organized a Vaccination Drive for college students and staff at Canara College, Mangaluru in order to keep them protected from corona virus. Covid-19 Vaccination drive was organized in collaboration with Public Health Centres of Bunder, Bejai and Jeppu, Mangaluru and National Service Scheme of Mangalore University. The Covishield and Covaxin were provided as first and second doses as per their vaccination schedule. Later on, they were asked to follow the suggestions as per doctor’s advice. The NSS Units has taken online survey prior to the vaccination drive to collect data, so that the vaccination drive will be organized in an appropriate way. All the Standard Operating Procedures were strictly followed throughout the Vaccination Drives. A total of 3 Vaccination Drives were held in the following dates:
1 CoVID 19 – Vaccination Drive- 1 : June 30, 2021 – 583 Beneficiaries
2 CoVID 19 – Vaccination Drive- 2 : July 06, 2021 – 155 Beneficiaries
3 CoVID 19 – Vaccination Drive- 3 : August 09, 2021 – 576 Beneficiaries
