As a part of AzadiKa Amrit Mahotsav YRC and NSS unit of our College organized a webinar on the title “Harvesting Rain Fall -Catch the Rain where it falls, when it falls” on August 14, 2021.
Dr. Vinayaka K. S., HOD, department of Botany, Shri Venkataramana Swamy College, Bantwal facilitated the session. In his opening remarks he briefed the importance of saving rain water and also discussed various techniques used for collecting, storing and reusing rain water. In this session students were able to identify the merits of rain water harvesting and implementation of various sources of rain water harvesting. Total 116 volunteers benefited from this webinar.
Youth Red Cross Programme officers Mrs. Smitha M. and Mrs. Roopashri K.P. and NSS Programme Officers Mrs. Seema Prabhu S. and Ms. Kavyashree were also present.
Mrs. Seema Prabhu S.welcomed the gathering, Dr. Premalatha V., presided the session and Mrs. Roopashri K.P. concluded the session with the vote of thanks.
