“Asha – Kiran A Ray of Hope” – Online Campaign to spread CoVID 19 Vaccine Awareness

August 25, 2021

The Covid-19 vaccines are the most potent weapon in our country in the fight against the pandemic and this can be won successfully by combined efforts of Governments and citizens. The major challenge with vaccination has been the “Vaccine Hesitancy” and this can be solved only by way of spreading awareness about the vaccines.

NSS Units of Canara College, Mangaluru organized a Social media Online Campaign namely “Asha – Kiran: A Ray of Hope” to spread CoVID 19 Vaccine Awareness from May 14 to August 25, 2021 for 100 days. The volunteers provided health education on “COVID-19 Vaccination”. It was a great opportunity and pleasing experience for 230 NSS volunteers to create the poster and share it on their Whatsapp Status, Instagram Handles and Face Book Pages. These posters were uploaded in the College Official Face Book Account and NSS Instagram Handle. The awareness programme was conducted by NSS volunteers under the leadership of NSS Program Officer Mrs. Seema Prabhu S. This initiative was very much appreciated by the State NSS Office, Bangalore and NSS office of Mangalore University.
