The Covid-19 vaccines are the most potent weapon in our country in the fight against the pandemic and this can be won successfully by combined efforts of Governments and citizens. The major challenge with vaccination has been the “Vaccine Hesitancy” and this can be solved only by way of spreading awareness about the vaccines.
NSS Units of Canara College, Mangaluru organized an Awareness Programme on COVID 19 – Vaccination to their family members and neighbours from September 15 to 17,2021. The volunteers provided health education on “COVID-19 Vaccination Coverage of People Aged above 18 Years”. It was a great opportunity and pleasing experience for 230 NSS volunteers to interact and educate people. The awareness programme was conducted by NSS volunteers under the mentorship of NSS Program Officers Mrs. Seema Prabhu S. and Ms. Kavyashree K.
