Sri. Jabbar Samo, Sampaje a well-known Yakshagana artist, was invited as the resource person for the online webinar which was organised by the Kannada Department in association with Human Rights Cell. While focusing on the topic “Rights and Duties in Mahabharatha”, he spoke how Bhishma, Sathyavathi, Kunthi, Panchali etc exercised their rights and duties and also how the values of Mahabharatha are relevant in the present world. Dr. Ganesh Shetty U. invoked the blessings of the Almighty in Yakshagana style, and Ananthkrishna, a student from B.com, extended support in ‘Himmela’ (background music). Mrs.Vani U.S., Head, Department of Kannada, welcomed and introduced the resource person. Mrs. Shailaja Pudukoli, Lecturer, Department of Kannada, compered the programme. Mrs. Savitha G. Acharya, Lecturer, Department of Economics, proposed the vote of thanks.
