In an emotionally surcharged atmosphere inside college campus, the second and first year students of the college bid adieu to the students of 2018-2021 batch at a grand farewell programme on October 28, 2021 at 10.00 am in the college quadrangle.
The program began with lighting of the ceremonial lamp amidst the chanting of the GaneshaVandana. Also, Student Welfare Mentors, Program Heads and Office bearers of the student welfare council joined.
Mrs. Vani U.S., Student Welfare Mentor welcomed the dignitaries and the gathering and gave the introductory speech. Dr. Premalatha V., Principal motivated the students with her words of wisdom and wished them the best for their future endeavors.
Being nostalgic, final year students Ms. Divya, II B.Com A Ms. Madhumitha, III B.Com B, Ms. VaishnaviShet, III B.Com C, Ms. Swathi III B.Com D and Mr. Karthik, III B.B.A.shared their on-campus experience, expressed their gratitudeto this great institution & teachers for being instrumental in shaping their personalities and providing them with stellar opportunities.
During the occasion, a per the directives of the Kannada and cultural Department, Government of Karnataka, the Principal Dr. Premalatha V., Staff and Students took part in “Lakshakantagayana” – a mass singing event that was organised as part of Karnataka Rajyotsavaand sang ‘Barisu Kannada Dindimava’, ‘Jogada Siri Belakinalli’ and ‘ Huttidare Kannada Naadalli” with great zeal and enthusiasm.
The farewell programme continued with a lot of exciting games and cultural performances by the students. Junior students had planned and organised the whole program under the supervision and guidance of the Student Welfare Mentors, Mrs. Vani U. S., Mrs. Prathima V Baliga and Dr. Prashanth.
Ms. Arathi, II BCom D compered the program and proposed the vote of thanks. At the end, ice cream was distributed to the staff and students.
Altogether 350 students participated in this programme.
