NAAC Sensitization Workshop on Institutional Preparedness for successful onsite NAAC Peer Team Visit: Concerns and Challenges

The onsite visit to the Institute by the Peer Team encompasses an important part of NAAC Assessment and Accreditation process. While understanding the need for preparing the Institution, it was very timely, relevant and appropriate to understand the visit process, concerns and intricacies involved with the same. Therefore, the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of the College organized a NAAC Sensitization Workshop on “Institutional Preparedness for successful onsite NAAC Peer Team Visit (PTV) : Concerns and Challenges” on Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at 2: 00 PM in the College Seminar Hall. Dr. Robin M. Shinde, Associate Professor, College of Commerce and Management, Srinivas University, Mangaluru was the Key Resource Speaker who facilitated the session.

Dr. Robin M. Shinde in his session impressed upon the various areas concerning the preparations for onsite NAAC Peer Team Visit. He further explained the entire process flow of the visit, areas that need to be addressed on the priority viz., infrastructure, documentation, interaction with the stakeholders, presentations by all the concerned, individual roles and responsibilities, staff etiquettes, and the like. He also shared several instances and experiences that he had earlier especially with the said process. This was then followed with the interaction with the question and answer session with the Key Speaker. Members of the staff sought clarifications for their queries. On a concluding note, he conveyed his best wishes for the smooth and successful peer team visit, thereby enabling the Institution securing better outcome.

Principal Dr. Premalatha V. in her presidential address acknowledged the Speaker for sharing his valuable insights in an understanding manner. She also called upon all the staff members so collectively contribute in this regard; thereby expediting the institute’s preparedness and readiness for a smooth and successful visit”.

The IQAC Coordinators Mr. Hardik P. Chauhan welcomed the Speaker and gathering and also made the opening remarks. Mrs. Dejamma A., proposed the vote of thanks. Ms. Meghna Ramesha Hosdurg, Faculty, Dept. of Commerce and Management rendered the prayer song. Mrs. Swathi Nayak, Coordinator, P. G. Centre for Commerce compered the programme. The programme concluded with the singing of National Anthem.

A total of 68 staff members inclusive of both teaching and non-teaching staff participated in this programme.

The session enabled the staff members to understand the process, concerns and challenges associated with the process of PTV. Both the teaching and non-teaching staff members were benefitted from the session.

The programme strived to achieve the core value of eliciting quest for excellence.
