Achieving to comply with these standards reflects the quality of Institution’s governance, administration, academic functions and outcomes. This makes it imperative to consistently escalate our standards to set new benchmarks of quality.
Calling upon the Student Leaders, he remarked that we all live today in a 21st century world which is integrated and interdependent. There has been a paradigm shift from India’s struggle for global survival to global dominance. With yesterday’s experiences, today’s experiments and tomorrow’s aspirations will give us a competitive advantage in globally challenging world. Set of challenges and questions may remain same, however the way of tackling and answering it must vary significantly from time-to-time.
Quality orientation is vital for all the stakeholders to consistently sustain, enhance and assure quality. Elucidating the role of leader, he impressed that Leadership is contextual and situational in nature. It is all that extra efforts will make you extraordinary in accomplishing your collective mission. Leaders need to embrace change and be the change agents in the system. It is not the looks that matter, but the outlooks do, and make it more relevant”.
The Alumni Guest of Honor Mr. CA Sujay Kamath M. inaugurated the Instagram Account of the Institute and was overwhelmed of having gone down to the memory lane. Sharing his thoughts and memories, he said “Challenges, competition and the fear of failure are quite natural, but success embraces those who face these with the can-do-attitude. Further, if you don’t go after what you want, you will never have it; if you don’t step forward, you will always remain where you are. Hence, opportunities of this sort should be explored, capitalized on and be made the most of it. Unlike during those days, where there were fewer opportunities, you students are privileged and fortunate to have plethora of opportunities to explore and SQAC is one such forum which encourages students’ engagement in Institutional governance. As a key mantra, he called upon the students’ to Read-Read-Read – update yourself before you get outdated. Follow PDCA exercise i.e. Plan-Do-Check and Act in all that you endeavor to do. Infuse the element of creativity and innovation for better outcome. As student leaders you have a pivotal role and greater responsibilities in upholding the institutional name and values, and thereby assuring that the Institute’s legacy and glory is not faded away”.
Principal Dr. Premalatha V. in her presidential address congratulated the student leaders for their zealous efforts and commitment in initiating the activities of the cell. Further, with the leadership role comes the responsibility too. Hence, Leadership is not all and just about position, but more importantly about the effective discharge of responsibility.
