Before investing and exposing capital to risk, it is imperative that one should have a firm grasp on essential concepts of understanding of financial markets, instruments, profitability and risk assessment techniques. Keeping this objective in mind, a seminar on Financial Planning and Awareness by Mr. Deepak was organized to the students of Commerce and Management association. In his talk he highlighted on the importance of practical aspect of finance. He has spoken on the role of SEBI and the investment in security market. He gave the mantra on how to manage money and manage people.
He discussed about various financial instruments such as bonds, mutual funds, fixed deposits, equity shares etc. he came up with six mantras which included – not losing money, insuring for securing future, avoiding credit and investment traps, focusing on few safe products, avoiding emotional traps and maintaining financial hygiene. The seminar ended with question and answer session which was interactive. 40 students participated in the seminar.
