Student welfare council organized 73rd Republic day celebration in our college on January 26, 2022. The Chief Guest Mrs. Rekha devi, Retired Librarian, Canara College, Mangalore and Principal Dr. Premalatha.V was escorted to the dais by Student welfare mentors. The programme started with a prayer song followed by the welcome address and introduction of the chief guest. The chief guest hoisted the Indian Tri-colour and in her speech she highlighted the importance of constitution and its unique features such as sovereign, socialist, secular, democratic and republic enshrined in the preamble of the constitution. Students showed their patriotism by singing the national anthem with passion. Prizes were distributed to the winners of elocution competition. Student welfare mentors and Mrs. Anila, Principal, Canara Evening college were present on the occasion. Altogether 20 students and 100 staff members took part in the celebrations.
